Integrity

PKK Ahmad Rizal Bin Mohd Ghazali

OBJECTIVE

  • Manage matters related to the integrity of officers and members of the Malaysian Prisons Department.
  • To plan and implement integrity courses for Malaysian Prisons Department staff
  • Implement the process of disciplinary action proceedings of the Malaysian Prisons Department.
  • Implement and provide feedback on complaints received by the Malaysian Prisons Department.
  • Ensuring that Prison residents adopt a superior work culture with characteristics strong morals and ethics as well as enhancing the spirit of patriotism

 

FUNCTIONS

The Integrity Unit as a ‘focal point’ for the management of issues related to integrity in the public sector. The goal is to ensure that civil servants practice a superior work culture with strong moral and ethical characteristics as well as enhance the spirit of patriotism. Its existence as an internal control effort by the agency to manage integrity in the organization.

There are six core functions entrusted to the Integrity Unit including the following;

Governance

  • Ensure the best governance is implemented Strengthening Integrity
  • Ensure the cultivating, institutionalization and implementation of integrity in the organization 

Detection And Verification

  • Detect and confirm complaints of criminal misconduct as well as breaches of organizational code of conduct and ethics and ensure appropriate follow -up action is taken.
  • Report criminal misconduct to the responsible enforcement agency.

Complaint Management

  • Receive and take action on all complaints / information on criminal misconduct and violations of organizational code of conduct and ethics

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Discipline

  • Perform the functions of the Secretariat of the Disciplinary Board
  • Ensure that disciplinary matters at the institutional level comply with procedures and procedures


PROGRAM / INITIATIVE

Among the proposed programs / actions that will be implemented are as follows:

  • Review the Prison Integrity Plan (PIPEN) 2015 - 2020
  • Provide Integrity Handbook / Integrity Guidelines
  • Prepare a Corruption Risk Management (CRM) Plan
  • Conduct compliance inspections in prison institutions regarding the integrity of members in making official duty claims
  • Provide integrity modules and instructors / facilitators for the Prison Department's basic courses - Prison Management Basic Certificate Course (SAPP) and Prison Management Secondary Certificate Course (SMPP).
