• Providing correctional machinery and an administration system that is organised, integrated, dynamic, efficient and professional based on continuous innovation in accordance with the current priorities and needs
• Ensuring that each inmate serving a sentence is released on the date stipulated
• Ensuring that each inmate will be in safe custody at all times during the period of detention
• Giving treatment that is fair, impartial and humane to all inmates based on the laws and regulations in force
• Providing an integrated rehabilitation programme for all inmates based on the Human Development Plan of the Prisons Department
• Providing dedicated, committed, trained, disciplined, responsible and productive members of staff
• Ensuring that the complaints were given feedback to the complainant within 7 working days
